A new mum got married just FOUR HOURS after giving birth to her second child.

Jasmine Grief, 27, gave birth to 7lb 12oz son Anthony at 7.40am, before being driven with her baby from Hexham in Northumbria to Gretna Green, Scotland.

She then walked up the aisle with Anthony in her arms to marry proud dad Karl Storey at 11.30am.

Karl said: "Anthony was as good as gold during the ceremony and it's turned out to be the most amazing day of my life. I can't take it all in."

Michelle Hall, wedding manager at Gretna Green's Famous Blacksmiths Shop, said: "We were in more of a state of shock than Jasmine who seemed to take it all in her stride.

"No-one here could believe that she had just had the baby that she carried in to her own wedding."

Cleaner Jasmine worked right up to the birth and intends returning to work next week.

Karl said: "She is the most amazing woman, nothing fazes her at all and she's got endless energy."

The couple, from South End, Kielder, already have a daughter, Emily, two. Karl also has eight-year-old twin boys, Benjamin and Thomas, from a previous relationship who live with him and Jasmine full-time.

The couple's whirlwind day continued when, after the wedding, they immediately headed back to The Angler's Arms at Kielder for a meal with family and friends.

Karl's brother Bryan acted as chauffeur for the new parents between the hospital, Gretna Green and the wedding reception.

Karl said: "There's no way I could have driven. My hands were shaking that much."

Congratulations Jasmine and Karl!
