Chris Hoy has shared the first photo of he and wife Sarra's baby son, Callum, who was born 11 weeks premature.

Fans of the Scottish Olympic hero will be delighted to see Callum awake and gazing into the camera, the first proper glimpse we have seen of the little fighter, who Chris assures us is 'now doing well'.

Callum, who is Chris and Sarra's first child together, was born extremely prematurely at 29 weeks on 15 October, well shy of his 27 December due date.

Chris announced the birth on Twitter last month, telling fans of his mixed emotions over welcoming their firstborn in such difficult circumstances.

Shortly after the announcement, Chris shared a close-up photo of Callum grabbing his dad's finger with his tiny fist, praising medical staff for their

At the time, Chris tweeted that he and Sarra had been 'overwhelmed' the love and support shown by fans online.

Sarra was particularly moved by parents who tweeted at her to share their own experience of giving birth to a premature baby who went on to thrive.
