Want To Dine With The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge? That'll Be £64,000

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to attend a swanky fundraising dinner (minus the super-cute Prince George) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan during their three-day tour of America in December.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge are seen as they welcome the President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam (not seen) at the Royal Garden Hotel on October 21, 2014 in London, England.

It's an invitation-only event (obvs) on 9 December and two VIP tickets will set you back $100,000 (that's £63,889).

According to The Sunday Times, New York's wealthiest are trying to get their hands on tickets before they sell out.

So what's with the OTT ticket costs? The newspaper reports that in order to bag two VIP tickets and dine with Kate and Wills, guests have to buy a table for 10 which is why the grand total sits at a pretty 100k.

The event will raise funds for St Andrews University in Scotland (the royal couple's meeting place circa 2002) to mark its 600th anniversary so we bet Kate and Wills are keen to raise big bucks towards the cause.

In other Duke and Duchess of Cambridge news: a royal tour of China might be on the cards. The Telegraph reports that the couple have been asked to tour China in the first three months of 2015 to better Britain's relations with the country.

They are HM the Queen's most popular royal representatives, but with Kate being pregnant with their second child dates and details are yet to be confirmed.

Let's not forget that she can't fly past 36 weeks!
