Frankie Bridge is expecting her second baby with husband Wayne.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who is a member of girl group The Saturdays, confirmed the news in a Tweet – but added with a tinge of sadness that she would have to pull out of the nationwide dancing tour.

Frankie, who already has a one-year-old son, Parker, with footballer Wayne, Tweeted:

She revealed that she decided to quit the Strictly tour after receiving advice from her doctor as she recovers from an acute form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum - the same condition experienced by the Duchess of Cambridge in both of her pregnancies.

Frankie Tweeted:

Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood was one of the first to offer his congratulations, telling The One Show: "She's going to be having a baby! It's wonderful news, congratulations to Frankie, Wayne and baby Parker."

It Takes Two co-host Zoe Ball added: "We're going to miss you on tour, Frankie."

Frankie later added in a statement: "Wayne and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our second baby. It is very early days, but we couldn't be happier and Parker will make a wonderful big brother.

"Although this is such an incredible time for us as a family, due to health reasons I am sadly unable to go on the Strictly tour as planned. I'm devastated that I'm missing out, as I loved Strictly so much and was so looking forward to joining everyone again in all those fabulous arenas.

"Thanks for the warm messages I've already received, they are really appreciated."

The Saturdays singer and professional dance partner Kevin Clifton reached the finals of the latest series of Strictly last month, but lost out on the Glitterball Trophy to Caroline Flack and her partner Pasha Kovalev.
