Congratulations to Zooey Deschanel!
The New Girl actress has confirmed she's pregnant. It will be the 34-year-old's first child with her boyfriend of six months, film producer Jacob Pechenik (pictured above).
"Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited," Zooey told People magazine.
Zooey was previously married to singer Ben Gibbard but the pair split in 2011. She met Jacob on the set of her latest film, Rock The Kasbah, which she stars in alongside Bruce Willis and Kate Hudson.
The good news comes after Zooey spoke about pregnancy in an interview for InStyle's August issue.
"Like every woman is dying to give birth! I don't think so. Nobody asks guys that," she said. "And you go into a supermarket and every tabloid is like, 'Pregnant and Alone!' Stuck in the 1950s ideal of how a woman should live her life. This brings out the fiery feminist in me."
