There comes a moment in a father's life when your kids start to make your feel distinctly small. Pierce Brosnan has reached that moment.
Photographed out and about in Malibu, California, the former James Bond star looks positively over-shadowed by his gangly model son Dylan.
Wearing astonishingly tight skinny jeans, the 18-year-old towers over his 6ft 1in dad – who was famed in the '90s for his strapping physique.
Dylan, who is finding his own fame as an in-demand model, was snapped in a patterned shirt, black skinny jeans and biker boots as he towered over his father while they picked up some reading material at a news stand.
Far less imposing was his 61-year-old dad, wearing a sky blue button-down shirt, tucked into black jeans.
Last November, Dylan was unveiled as the face of Saint Lauren's menswear advertising campaign, although it's believed he may go into politics after he did an internship in Washington, D.C., gaining work experience in the office of Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey.
Dylan is Pierce's first son with his second wife Keely Shaye Smith, who is also the mother of his youngest son Paris, 13. Dylan also has a half-brother, Sean, whose mother was Pierce's late first wife Cassandra Harris.
Last year, Pierce spoke movingly at the 2014 Stand Up to Cancer telethon about how he lost both Cassandra – and then his eldest daughter, Charlotte, to the disease.
He said: "To watch someone you love have his or her life eaten away bit by bit by this insidious disease, that kind of sorrow becomes an indelible part of your psyche.
"I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife Cassie as ovarian cancer took her life much too soon.
"And just last year, I held the hand of my funny, wonderful daughter Charlotte before she too died from this wretched, inherited disease."
