Critics' Choice Awards 2015: The Dress Choices Were Bold

The Critics' Choice Awards might not draw as much attention as the Golden Globes or the Oscars, but the red carpet style? It's fabulous. In fact, the fashion at the 2015 ceremony held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday was arguably the best we've seen this awards season.

Jennifer Aniston deserves the first mention for branching out from her usually chic but safe style. The 45-year-old Cake star stole the show (despite being in the same room as Angelina Jolie for the first time in years) in a plunging tuxedo suit by Gucci paired with matching Christian Louboutin shoes.

Speaking of Angelina, she embraced old school Hollywood glamour in a silver Versace gown. The 39-year-old actress was nominated for Best Director for her work on the film Unbroken but unfortunately she lost out to Richard Linklater, the director of Boyhood.

Other noteworthy looks of the night included Reese Witherspoon who was dressed in a custom-made Lanvin column gown, Best Actress winner Julianne Moore (she wore a floor-sweeping lace design by Saint Laurent) and Keira Knightley, who covered her baby bump in dress by Delpozzo.

Then there's the leading lady who can do no wrong on the fashion front, Marion Cotillard. The French actress and Best Actress nominee for her role in Two Days, One Night, wowed in Dior Couture and Chopard jewellery. (Sigh.)
