Maggie Gyllenhaal: Style File

Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is back on our screens in Hugo Blick's spy series The Honourable Woman, is a Hollywood actress who knows exactly how to pull off quirky, statement-making style.

Gyllenhaal isn't one to be typecast - she's starred in the likes of The Dark Knight, Crazy Heart and White House Down - and she doesn't play it safe with her fashion choices either.

Having attended countless premieres and film awards, anyone would be forgiven for slipping into a fail-safe routine of little black dresses every now and again - but simple style isn't Maggie's thing.

Need proof? Just take one look at the Lanvin dress she wore to the 2014 BAFTAs. Maggie looked stunning in a show-stopping full length lace gown adorned with gemstones and pearls - hardly your average evening wear.

However, Maggie is also an expert at cute but kooky style and our current favourite has to be the outfit she wore to Dior's 2014 Cruise show.

This ivory jacket and mini skirt rivaled Rihanna's pastel pink number on the head-turning front (and that's not easy.) Oh, and bright lipstick? She's rarely seen without it.
