Beauty Tips: 5 Easy Ways To Get Glowing Skin

When it comes to keeping skin glowing, radiant and blemish-free, there are a few beauty tips worth knowing about to improve your daily regime.

From brightening homemade masks to investing in a good exfoliator, here's some expert advice on the best ways to get a clear complexion:

1. Exfoliate regularly

"It's essential you exfoliate regularly to help remove dead skin cells and impurities," says Noella Gabriel, director of product and treatment development at Elemis. "This will reveal a smoother more radiant complexion while boosting circulation. She recommends using the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel with a creamy, non-abrasive formula which gently dissolves dead skin cells.

2. Always moisturise

"Even if your skin is oily, moisturising is essential for hydration and ensures the skin doesn't over compensate by producing more oil," says Gabriel. Choose products which are gentle on the skin - the last thing you want a moisturiser to do is strip the skin of its essential oils.

3. Experiment with natural ingredients

Fed up with spending a fortune on expensive skincare products? Try natural alternatives. The experts at Neal's Yard Remedies recommend both lemon juice and yoghurt. "Lemons can help to balance oily skin and has a brightening effect," say the the brand. As for yoghurt? "It contains lactic acid which helps to smooth and exfoliate the skin."

4. Make a face mask

This blend of strawberries, oats and cream sounds good enough to eat - but it's main aim is to brighten the complexion thanks to these soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients. Want to make one? Here's what to do:

- Mix a few strawberries (they help to exfoliate old skin cells) with oats and single cream and apply as a face mask.

- Leave for 10 minutes.

- Gently exfoliate the skin by rubbing the mask into skin in circular movements.

- Remove with warm water and pat skin dry.

5. DIY facial

" A daily facial massage will increase lymphatic drainage and improve skin tone," says Neal's Yard Remedies. Warm a few drops of organic almond oil or argan oil in your hands then gently massage into the skin to nourish and help prevent moisture loss.
