David Tennant is currently busy dividing opinions as ‘Broadchurch’ detective Alec Hardy, but his next big project is set to be something rather different.
The actor will star as Marvel villain Killgrave, in the Netflix series ‘A.K.A Jessica Jones’.
David will be joined by ‘Breaking Bad’ star Krysten Ritter, who plays the show’s title character, and Mike Colter, whose credits include ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Men In Black 3’ and ‘Ringer’.
The show’s executive producer Melissa Rosenburg has shared her excitement at welcoming David to the cast, stating: “I'm so honored and excited by the prospect of David inhabiting this multifaceted character.
“He can deliver the most heart-wrenching moment to the driest of lines, and all points in between. He'll make Kilgrave a truly original villain."
The series is currently in production, and due for release via the online-streaming site later this year.
While the current series of ‘Broadchurch’ has been criticised by some fans, David picked up a Special Achievement NTA Award for his work on the show, earlier this month.
