My Apartment: Lucy Greene

My Apartment: Lucy Greene

This week, we ventured to Ladbroke Grove, to the apartment of Lucy Greene - stylist and co-founder of super-cool streetcast agency Anti Agency. We already knew that she had the best puppy we've ever seen, but we had no idea how fabulous her wardrobe and flat was going to be, so we asked her for some decorating tips and where she finds such fabulous clothes.

How long have you lived here?

Six months. I just moved back west after living in London Fields for a year. I ran back! All of my family and friends are around here and I love the vibe, the market, the shops. I love going to see the vintage dealers at Portabello Market on a Friday - you can find the coolest pieces down there - and sometimes, when I'm doing a big clear out, I'll go down and do a stall myself! I love Found & Vision which is run by super stylist Karen Clarkson, Auxana and Rosie on Golborne Road. They stock all sorts; gold leather two pieces, patchwork jackets and 70s suits.

Where are your favourite places to hang our around here?

Upstairs at The Electric and I basically live in Pizza East. The Globe is good for fried chicken, and The Golborne Deli do good hot chocolate.

How would you describe your interior style?

A bunch of different things: I have a lot of art deco inspirations, and I like a Mediterranean feel so I include things like leopard print and turquoise. I like mixing up modern with grand pieces. One of my favourite interiors is from the Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun - all of the hotel rooms they stay in are really deco but also late 70s, with light blues, light pinks, golds, so gorgeous!

What couldn't you live without?

My big mahogany sleigh bed. It was the first grown up thing I ever bought myself.

How do you relax when you get home?

Get straight into a tracksuit! And make a cup of tea. Then I hang out with Raphael (known as Raffy), my puppy, although he comes everywhere with me. He loves the park down the road, St Mark's Park, and he runs riot there chasing pigeons and digging up worms.

Where are your favourite places to shop for your place?

Arbon Interiors for antiques, also you can literally draw a sofa that you want and they'll make it for you. I love The Conran Store and Oka is cool.

Where do you get interior inspiration?

I love Pinterest, but most of my inspiration comes from my mother. She has incredible style, and style in general actually. She's so creative and talented - her place has enormous orange walls and big, grand things like huge wooden giraffes and china leopards - but also very kitsch stuff like a blow-up rocket coming out of the ceiling. I love the new pink room in Sketch and Bob Bob Ricard - old Hollywood glamour and seventies glam!

Do you have people round a lot?

Yes, I love having people round - I had about six girlfriends round yesterday and we ate about ten different takeaways, hung out, watched Big Brother and just lay around hungover. Heaven!
