Paris Couture Week: Chanel Spring/Summer 2015

What better setting for a Spring/Summer collection than a catwalk adorned with giant flowers and towering plants?

As, Karl Lagerfeld welcomed the fashion pack into a paper garden housed inside Paris' Grand Palais on Tuesday morning, the grey January weather was forgotten.

Floral embellishment was seen throughout Chanel's S/S 15 show, with sequin flowers decorating knitted beanies, pretty blooms enhancing tulle skirts and bright red poppies adding an almost-regal quality to bodices and sleeves.

Despite a prominent pastel colour palette - the two-pieces in blush pink and lavender are sure to be a hit with fans of Chanel's signature bouclé styles - this collection was far from sickly sweet.

Pops of orange and cobalt added a freshness to the 80s inspired power suits and wide-brim hats but this collection featured a new staple addition - crop tops.

No doubt Chanel model Kendall Jenner (she made her first catwalk appearance of 2015) will be wearing hers with jeans and trainers soon.
