News that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second baby was announced this morning a little earlier than planned, leading to speculation about when the royal baby is due. Clarence House tweeted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were 'very pleased to announce' the happy news on Monday, September 8.
The official statement added that, as with her first pregnancy, Kate was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, and would therefore not be accompanying Prince William on an official visit to Oxford today.
