To make 40g, you will need:

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tsp shea nut butter

1 tsp almond oil

1 tsp beeswax

4 drops lime essential oil

1 drop lemon essential oil

Then follow these steps:

1. Heat all the ingredients, apart from the essential oils, in a bain-marie (a heated bath) until the wax has melted. Remove from the heat.

2. Add the essential oils as the balm cools and mix well.

3. Pour into a sterilized jar and leave to cool for about one hour before placing the lid on. Store in a cool, dry place. It will keep for up to three months.

Top tip: Apply to the lips before bed to help them retain moisture as you sleep.
