Discover London's Healthy-Eating Gems

We're not sure if you've noticed, but a revolution is taking place in London. No longer are juice bars and healthy cafes few and far between, favourites of only the most hardy detoxers. Now they're being flooded by men and women alike, all keen to make personal wellness their top priority and in search of food that's as tasty as it is healthy.

Wild Food Cafe

So it's not surprising that new eateries are appearing across town, all promising clean, healthy meals and treats that will get your taste buds as excited as the thousands of women queuing up to see Fifty Shades of Grey.

Whether you're looking for an energy-boosting smoothie, a filling sweet snack or full three-course meal, these places should be firmly on your health radar...

When Deliciously Ella gives an eatery her stamp of approval, you've got to sit up and take notice. This café, hidden away in Covent Garden, is a favourite of healthy-eaters who want to tap into the dedicated ethos of vitality, community and wellness. Ella usually goes for the Wild Pizza, Living Bruschetta and Forgotten Ecstasy smoothie but you'd struggle to find a dud on this menu, specially crafted by their team of top chefs.

It seems like there's a new cold-pressed juice bar popping up in LDN every week, so competition to deliver the tastiest liquid elixirs at the most reasonable price is fierce. We love CPRESS - a fairly new organic wellness bar in Fulham - and its wholesome, colourful juices. They serve up smoothies and hot drinks too, and some of their products can seem a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for and we're yet to find a tastier carrot-based juice than their Charged Up! bottle.

We've long been looking for a cool place to eat that will both delight us healthy eaters and appease any partners/friends/parents who like their plates less, erm, clean. Then along comes Little H, delivering on both counts. This Cali-inspired café-cum-juice bar, opened by the owners of Hally's restaurant right across the road, focuses on local, quality ingredients and uses them to fill a menu that offers everything from superfood juices and vegan breakfast pots to bacon sandwiches and chocolate-covered honeycomb. Everyone's a winner.

This restaurant's Instagram feed is like a non-stop conveyor belt of healthy food porn. All their food is raw, organic and genuinely bursting with flavour but the biggest reason that healthistas flock to NAMA is because everything looks so damn amazing. From curry to lasagne (yes, raw lasagne) and their raved-about blueberry cheesecake, these guys grab you by the eyeballs, then by the stomach.

NAMA

Perhaps better known for their healthy food delivery service, the Detox Kitchen team also run two delis which offer fresh salads, snacks, smoothies and juices throughout the day. There's no stodge to be found and everything on the ever-changing seasonal menu is fresh and light but miraculously filling. Their deli in Harvey Nichols makes a perfect shopping pitstop if you don't want to be weighed down by processed pastries or heavy creamy drinks.

When #fitspo celebs Millie Mackintosh and Zara Martin want an indulgent brunch that won't leave them bloated and sluggish afterwards, they head to Tanya's. Like NAMA, the café is an all-raw effort, and the food looks fabulously colourful and indulgent. What really sets Tanya's apart though isn't just the welcoming wholesome yet chic atmosphere – it's the superfood cocktails they serve from afternoon into evening, mixing the cleanest, best quality alcohol with ingredients such as butterscotch and caramel medicine flower, cold pressed celery and cucumber and mandarin bitters.
