Alexa Chung Uses Her Oven As A Shoe Cupboard

Breaking news! Alexa Chung has admitted she's not a domestic goddess.

The 31-year-old model, who stars in the final episode of The Great Comic Relief Bake Off, has revealed she has an alternative use for her oven.

"I keep my shoes in the oven. I haven't turned my oven on for three years. That is a fact," she said while filming the show which airs on Wednesday night.

That's one way to make use of a redundant kitchen appliance. It also hints at something we already suspected about Alexa - she's a shoe hoarder.

Chung joins radio DJ Chris Moyles, plus comics Victoria Wood and Kayvan Novak in the charity version of the hit BBC series. In the fourth episode, the GBBO guests are tested on their signature, technical and showstopper bakes as they attempt to claim the Star Baker crown and raise as much cash as possible for Comic Relief.

The winner of this show will compete against the three other Star Bakers - Jennifer Saunders, Gok Wan and Michael Sheen - in the final programme on 13 March, this year's Red Nose Day.

Can't wait to see Alexa's baking skills? Tune in to BBC One on 8pm on Wednesday 4 March to catch the final installment and find out how to get involved with Comic Relief right here.
