As she celebrates her baby Miley Beau's six-month birthday, the mum-of-three said she'd like to play someone similar to Fiz Stape, played by Jennie McAlpine, who gave birth to her baby son Albert last November.
Sam told the Manchester Evening News: "I'd play a New Age Fiz! I'd have to play someone funny, I don't think my other half would be able to cope with me snogging people as an actress or being all sexy. So yes, I'd like to be a New Age Fiz, with a right dope as my boyfriend, someone that you would never have to see snogging on the street."
Former prison officer Sam won The X Factor in 2013 and shot to the top of the charts with her debut single Skyscraper and her first album, The Power of Love.
She has now parted company with Simon Cowell's Syco record label and is recording new material with A1 star Ben Adams, but is also planning to diversify in showbiz by training for an acting and presenting career.
Sam said: "I'd love a role in any soap, I think it's about time someone from The X Factor went on a soap.
"For me, doing a show like a soap would just be really great. I'm a bit of a closet actress, I used to do extra work, and I've got a good group of friends in the business."
Sam has been juggling her singing and acting with looking after baby Miley Beau, who was born last September.
To celebrate, Sam shared some adorable snaps of Miley, posted by a fan named Laura.
She wrote: "Can't believe this little angel is now 6 months old. Where has the time gone!? @SamBaileyREAL @craigbaileyoff1"
In the collection of intimate pictures, Miley is sleeping peacefully on a rug, and gazing into the camera.
