Teenagers can be quite, well, stupid at times, can't they? All you have to do is say, 'I dare you', and suddenly they think they're invincible.
But as this video shows, they're mere mortals like the rest of us – and painfully so.
The clip shows a couple of teenagers in a shopping mall who decide to use an escalator as a prop for a funny stunt filmed by a friend.

First, a teen wearing a hat joins hands with his pal as he begins to travel up the revolving stairs.
And as the pair climb higher up the escalator the laughs from the cameraman grow louder.
But his guffaws and repeated shouts of 'don't fall' quickly turn to concern when the inevitable fall happens and the boy writhes in agony.
The cringe-making 36-second clip has been watched more than 50,000 times after it was shared around the world on Daily Motion.
But there were very few online compliments for the stupid stunt.
One commenter asked: "What did they think the end result of this would be?"
