Power saws are objectively horrifying. And though the technology to automatically stop the saw if it males contact with flesh has existed for close to a decade, adoption has been slow because the system also destroyed the saw when it retracted.
Well now Gizmodo reports that Bosch appears to have solved the problem. It’s new REAXX Portable Jobsite Table Saw is able to instantly retract a saw if it touches skin — and have it working again, automatically, in 60 seconds.
