Following her medal-winning success at the London Games in 2012, the 33-year-old royal is hoping to qualify in the equestrian events in Brazil next year. And pregnancy isn't part of the plan.

"What surprised me about having a baby is losing all your fitness and how tough it is to get it back," she told the Financial Times Weekend magazine.

When discussing her dream compete in Rio, Zara added, "That also means I won't be able to have any more children between now and then too."

However, being a mum has changed Zara's outlook when it comes to horse-riding.

"I don't know whether being a mum has made me any more cautious," she said. "What it does do is put things in perspective. If I have a bad day riding, it doesn't matter now as much as it used to."

So, no more royal baby announcements... for now.
