Mel B has reportedly been axed from the upcoming new series ofthe X Factor. Cue boos and hisses.
Reports suggest that Simon Cowell is letting Mel B go after just one series on the show's judging panel, despite the fact some people felt she was the best thing about the last season.
Simon is continually looking to freshen up the show, and it has been reported that while Cheryl is likely to come back this year, Mel and Louis may not.
A source told the Mirror, "It is now looking very, very doubtful she will come back, Simon has made up his mind.
"She is doing America's Got Talent at the moment so she hasn't completely fallen out with Simon, but he wants to freshen up X Factor."
The source continued: "One of the best ways to do that is to change the judging panel and it looks like Mel B will pay the price for that.
"Some fans will be disappointed though as some viewers felt she was the best thing about the show last year."
The report comes just days after it was confirmed that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will be the new co-hosts of the X Factorafter Dermot O'Leary announced he was leaving the show after eight years.
