Waists defined with a simple black belt were one of the key trends to come out of the David Koma Spring/Summer 16 show at London Fashion Week.

We love the simplicity of this style, which works equally well over a plain white shirt as it does over a geometric printed dress, and the good news is there's no need to wait for wrap-around belts to hit the shops next spring to get the look for yourself.
Simply take a long piece of black ribbon - you can get 5m of grosgrain ribbon from John Lewis for between £3.25 to £6 depending on the width you want - and wrap it around your waist a few times before neatly folding over the ends to fasten at the front.
