The popstar-turned-soapstar attended the British Soap Awards on Saturday (28 May) night, where The Huffington Post UK caught up with him.
During his interview, Shayne hinted at what's coming up for his on-screen family, revealing that romance will take centre stage for the Connors.
"Now that Carla's gone, the factory is ours,:" he told us. "Storyline wise you can see my dad having a bit of a relationship.
Then there's the same thing with Kate, who is having a dilemma with her partner and someone else, and then me and Eva.
"I think it's got to a point where that's [the relationship] going to progress now."
The actor also shared some advice for soon-to-be soapstar Duncan James who, like Shayne, has swapped the recording studio for memorising scripts.
