The 39-year-old, who plays Chastity Dingle in the ITV soap, said she is “over the moon” about her baby news.
“Lucy Pargeter and her partner Rudi Coleano are delighted to announce they are expecting twins spring 2017,” a spokesperson for the ITV show said.
“They will be long-awaited siblings for their daughter, Lola.”
The actress took to Twitter to confirm the news after being flooded with messages of congratulations.
“We are overwhelmed with your lovely messages and over the moon to be having twins,” she tweeted.
Pargeter and her long-term partner Coleano are already parents to 11-year-old Lola.
The mum has previously revealed she was worried she wouldn’t be able to have more children when doctors noticed she had an “enlarged spleen”.
“We want to get to the bottom of it before I even think about having other children,” she told The Mirror during an interview in 2007.
“Before I had a baby I thought I’d have loads. I used to look after my nephews a lot, but it’s only when you have a baby that you realise it’s a full-time job.”
Congratulations to the couple!
