‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Scotty T has been given a police caution, following an arrest in connection with a firearms offence, it has been claimed.
Scotty - real name Scott Timlin - was reportedly arrested in his home city of Newcastle over the bank holiday weekend, for possession of an “air weapon” in a public place.
According to The Sun, he was arrested and charged after allegedly posing with fans while brandishing a weapon.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “On Monday, May 30, a 28-year-old man was arrested and given a caution for possession of an air weapon in a public place.”
While photos published by the newspaper show him leaving a police station in the early hours of Monday morning, he later alluded to the incident on his Twitter page, claiming he’d had a “horrendous” six hours.
Police are also said to have searched his home, following his arrest.
Having already appeared on MTV reality shows ‘Geordie Shore’ and ‘Ex On The Beach’, Scotty T was one of 16 famous faces to enter the ‘CBB’ house back in January.
After a month under the watchful eye of Big Brother, he was eventually crowned the public’s winner, ahead of fellow finalists Stephanie Davis, Darren Day, Tiffany Pollard, Danniella Westbrook and John Partridge.
During his time in the house, he made headlines for his close relationship with fellow ‘Ex On The Beach’ cast member Megan McKenna, who has since joined the cast of ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.
