Showing Love For Amy Winehouse

The death of Amy Winehouse this past July 23rd was a tragedy! It was a tragedy both for her family and friends, but also for the world of music. Amy was an extraordinary talent; and when she sang her songs, you knew it came from her soul and heart. When you saw her perform either in videos or in live concerts, you felt hypnotized by her presence and you know this music came straight from her soul, and it pulled you right in because it touched your heart. The traits I most admired about her were that she was honest, real, had a big heart, and was a true 'INDIVIDUALIST'!!!!!! There was no one like her, and she owned it! I think from this day forward every time I see a beautiful beehive hairdo or eyeliner done perfectly, I will always think of her. How could you ever forget those beautiful green eyes?

She was brilliant! Her music and her presence were beyond charismatic! She was hip, fabulous and she was her true self--with no apologies. When she did a duet recording with Tony Bennett, even he said "this girl has a brilliant career ahead of her!"

To prove she was an extraordinary talent, she won FIVE Grammy Awards! Her Grammy winning breakthrough album was "Back to Black". This certified her as a superstar! It has just been re-released and is at the top of the charts yet again.

We are all human - and we ALL make mistakes, so look deep into your heart and feel the compassion that Amy deserves. It will change your life.

I actually made a phone call to my very close and personal friend Mr. Dan Aykroyd. I was curious if he knew Amy or had an insight about her. We talked for a while, and he said even though he did not know her personally, he wanted to make a formal quote for this article on her behalf. Here is his quote:

"Many performing artists carry with them lots of pain to go along with their brilliance. Amy was obviously numbing herself to some unseen secret torment. Just like my partner John Belushi." Dan Aykroyd.

In closing, I would like to express something directly to Amy Winehouse's Mom and Dad, Janis and Mitch, and the rest of her family and REAL friends and to her fans:

Even though Amy's life was cut short, I want you all to know that she had a full life in that

she LOVED and was LOVED IN RETURN - BY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE!!!

God bless you Amy Winehouse, and thank you for leaving us with such beautiful music. You will never be forgotten
