If you have children you'll be more than well aware that the loveliest clothes can require a small mortgage to buy, and they last as long as a reality TV marriage.
With my first baby due December 1st, I've just begun to cast my eye over the children's clothing ranges in department stores and, wouldn't you know it, everything I like the most has an eye-watering price tag.
Being a bit of a greeny, I'm also loathed to buy lots of new stuff when the planet is already swamped with perfectly good unwanted kids clothes. Problem is, much of the secondhand stuff I've come across, at car boot sales and charity shops (yes, I love those places) is too naff or a little too tatty.
What I need is a secondhand store that hand picks the most appealing items from good quality brands, and at a much more attractive price. And guess what, I may have found one!Mimmii is a new online boutique that handpicks lovely "nearly new" pieces from the likes of Bonpoint, JoJo Maman Bébé, Catimini and Kent and Carey. As well as offering some brand new pieces, it also sources "those cute little outfits that only left the wardrobe once or twice for 'best'".
The stock is quite limited at the moment, but will soon grow, so do pay a visit. My favourite from today's treasures is this cute little check shirt from Gap, pictured above, for £5. We don't know if we're having a boy or a girl yet, but if it was a little boy he'd look just like his dad in this. Too cute!
