Simple Sleepovers: Sleepover Kits

A child's first sleepover is an exciting time for them - and an uber stressful time for you full of worrying questions. Where will they sleep? Will they sleep ok? Will they get on with the other kids?

The reality is, they'll be so excited they probably won't get a great deal of sleep. That doesn't mean you don't have to stock them up with the right gear for if they do manage to squeeze a few hours in. Sleeping bag kits are widely available and usually come equipped with a bag to stuff everything back into with ease.

Some of the sleeping bags, like this Kids Camping Ready Bed for girls (right), comes with an all inclusive kit including a blow up bed and built in pillow, along with the sleeping bag and carry bag. It also comes in a blue version for the boys. Pick it up during your weekly food shop at Sainsbury's for £29.99.

What other options are there?

A cheaper option is this 'bed in a bag' from Great Little Trading. The bag comes with a "Super squishy, cushioned inner with waterproof base" and will set you back £85. Great looking set, but I'm not sure I'd pay that much for something that only gets used a couple of times a year.
