Police Use Taser On 10-Year-Old Boy

A 10-year-old child has been tasered and arrested in Colorado for being "out of control".

Pueblo Sheriff's Captain Jeff Teschner reported on Wednesday that the boy was unhurt when deputies tasered him in his foster home, where he was reportedly destroying property. He went on to defend their actions, and said that they were justified in their use of force.

The deputies report that the youth threatened them with a pipe and a stick, and threw a piece of wood at them. The boy has been arrested for "menacing with a deadly weapon".

This situation follows an earlier incident in Arkansas, which we recently covered. This focused on a 10-year-old girl who refused to have a shower, so her mother gave the police permission to taser the girl.

The police officer involved has since been fired, not for using the Taser but for violating department policy by failing to use the camera attached to it.

How do you feel about the use of a Taser on children? Do you think these two cases were justified uses?
