Cinderella On Ice Comes To The Royal Albert Hall

Ice skating has really grown in popularity in recent years. Many cities host temporary ice rinks in the winter, and currently the celebrity stars of Dancing on Ice are wowing us with their way with the blades.

Not to mention the recent snowy weather which turned many a high street into a skating rink of the more hazardous kind.

Now a new family show, Cinderella on Ice, is turning the Royal Albert Hall in London into an ice rink – doesn't that sound amazing? I bet many little girls and their mums will be queueing up for this one.

Playing the lead role of Cinderella is Olga Sharutenko, whom you may remember from when she partnered John Barrowman in the first series of ITV's Dancing on Ice in 2006, to great popular acclaim.Performed by the Imperial Ice Stars, the show promises a

25-strong cast of World, European and National Championship skaters, who'll perform breathtaking skating feats, some never before attempted in competition or on an icy theatre stage.

And it's only the second time in history the arena floor of the Royal Albert Hall has been frozen with ice, and the first since the John Curry Symphony on Ice, featuring the Olympic gold medallist, was staged 25 years ago.

Booking details: This show has a limited run of only eight performances, running from the 24 to the 28 of February. You can find out more and book tickets at the Royal Albert Hall website.
