The most popular role models chosen by mums for their children are Richard Branson and JK Rowling, according to a new poll.

The survey asked 2,000 mums who they would most like their children to grow up to be like.

The survey also questioned 1,000 children, and found that 20 and Barack Obama, who scored 8.
Cheryl Cole was also popular with children, coming second on 16, television star Hannah Montana on 7 - the same score as children's teachers.
Mums were also asked which celebrity they most admired - and 14.
The survey also found that mothers most wanted their children to enter traditional professions, with lawyer or architect most popular on 19.
Other preferred jobs were teacher, lecturer or academic, a scientist or engineer, and a plumber, builder or electrician.
Children chose teaching as their preferred career, followed by footballer, doctor, scientist and pop star.
