Stab Victim Abigail Witchalls Becomes A Mum For The Third Time

Abigail Witchalls, who was the victim of a horrific knife attack which left her partly paralysed, has given birth to a baby girl.

Abigail hit the headlines in 2005 when it was revealed that she had been stabbed near her home in Little Bookham, Surrey, and was critically ill. She was out walking with her first son, Joseph, when she was brutally attacked. Abigail was 10 weeks pregnant with her second child, Dominic, at the time of her stabbing, and gave birth during her recovery.

Her husband Benoit released a statement confirming that she had given birth to Rebecca Grace at St George's Hospital in South London on the 6th June. The couple are said to be "delighted and thrilled"

Surrey Police believe a local garden centre worker, 23-year-old Richard Cazaly, was the offender, but will unfortunately never be able to confirm this as he committed suicide in Scotland a week after the attack.
