THE SCOOP: With the multitude of layers in Nicole Miller's a/w 2010 collection, lead makeup artist James Kaliardos mimicked this with a layered look that was "sweet, hazy and really beautiful."
"I haven't done makeup like this for so long," said Kaliardos, recalling the vibrant shades of spring that he's used to painting on. "But we're doing something quite traditional because the clothes are very aggressive and edgy looking. I wanted them made up - giving them a face to wear."
There were three key elements to the models look: a grey, smoky eye, rosy cheeks and a stained lip. "It's not black on the eyes, it's grey," said Kaliardos. "Grey is the new black."
