It's not enough for your make-up simply to make you look good any more, as life gets busier and technology gets cleverer, the latest products have all kinds of beauty bonuses.

Whether it's foundations that will care for your skin or mascara to make your lashes grow, there's a secret helper to take the effort out of looking gorgeous.

Lipstick formulations have been getting more cunning for some time, and now they do more than just transform your lips. Clinique's Lip Collection for a Brighter Smile will actually make your teeth look whiter by at least one shade, with 11 colours to choose from and four different formulations.

"The subtle blue tones and contrast in each colour instantly brightened the appearance of teeth," explains New York City dentist Dr Paul Siu. There's four shades of High Impact Lip Colour SPF 15, three in the Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick collection, three from the Different Lipstick collection and one Long Last Lipstick, all £14.50.

Or give your lips an anti-ageing boost with Prestige Colour Treat Lipstick, £6.49. Available in eight shades, it contains a ceramide and peptide blend to help prevent wrinkles and stimulate collagen, as well as volumising hyaluronic acid, protecting vitamins A&E and castor seed to keep them moisturised. Available from Boots nationwide from September.

Lastly, there's finally a make-up range that keeps going longer than you can... MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme, £14, comes in 12 long-lasting shades including cream textures rather than the standard drying matte versions. The Pro Longwear range also includes 16 shades of SPF10 Foundation, £22, and 15 shades of Concealer, £12.50. Available from September.

Simple! Available from September.

Once your eyelids are sorted, don't forget your eyelashes. Revlon's Grow Luscious by Fabulash, £9.99, includes a phytopeptide complex to help condition and strengthen lashes, as well as making them look instantly longer. Available from September.

Meanwhile Rimmel's Lash Accelerator Mascara, £8.99, promises that its Grow-Lash complex will make lashes appear up to 80 longer, fuller and stronger after a month. Available from September.

Last but not least, Clinique's Limited Edition High Impact Mascara, £14.50, has been clinically proven to make eyes appear three times brighter thanks to the navy blue flecks in the black mascara. Perfect for sleepy Monday mornings.
