Britain's only identical quadruplets, Ellie, Georgina, Jessica and Holly Carles, have started school – with their names inked on to their blouse collars.
Their mum, Julie, 42, - who fell pregnant with the girls naturally at odds of 64million to one - said her daughters were 'very excited'.
The youngsters, who are identical down to their height and weight, insist on being dressed exactly the same in and out of school. Mrs Carles said despite others people not being able to tell them apart, she has no problem: 'From very early on I started noticing small differences between them, they all have their own distinctive personalities too.'
Their dad, Jose, 37, a landscaping products manager, said he was 'immensely proud' of his family. 'It's amazing how fast the time has gone. I think when they turn 13 I'll either have to move home or build my own bathroom.'
The girls all came from one embryo which split into four, and are monochorionic, which means they shared the same placenta.
