THE SCOOP: Rising star Heikki Salonen hails from freezing Finland, and for his second collection with Fashion East, the cold, moody winter set the tone. Clothes featured lots of layering, androgynous and sharp, while the makeup was a mask-like complexion and no mascara, which is looking to be a huge trend for next season. "We were going back to basics with the makeup," said Jansson backstage. "It's not so happy and bright like summer."
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: To get complexions matte, powdery and mask-like, Jansson used Mineralised SPF 15 Cream Foundation followed by Blot Powder. Keeping eyes simple, she swept Vanilla shadow on lids and brushed Clear Brow Finisher through brows, omitting the mascara. Lips were lined and coloured with a lip pencil in Nightmoth. On cheeks, Lilicent Blushcreme was used for a slightly dewy finish. To soften the lip, Jansson dabbed Film Noir lipstick onto mouths, resulting in a deep berry shade.
