Backstage at the Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2011 fashion show at New York Fashion Week, eyes took centre stage in a soft coral hue, while hair was sleek and simple in this season's must-have deep side part.

THE SCOOP: The Narciso Rodriguez spring 2011 collection is graceful and chic, with simple and soft lines and pops of vibrant colour. The collection offers a diverse array of trousers, evening gowns and mini dresses in muted greens, light pinks and corals with accent shades of charcoal, black and white, so the beauty teams chose a low maintenance and natural look to reflect the feminine and refined vibe of the collection.

"Narcisco incorporated a lot of bright colour in his collection so I chose an overall soft, neutral look with surprise hits of colour," said makeup lead Dick Page. "It's all about the eyes and these colours look particularly beautiful on girls with green eyes," he added.

Hair followed suit with smooth, glossy locks combed into a deep, curving side part. "Narciso referenced himself in a lot of different segments within the collection with a mix of styles, colours and textures. There is a lot going on so I chose a simple hairstyle that would unify all the girls so they all looked exactly the same," said hairstylist Eugene Souleiman.

Nails were also soft and simple with a beige, finished-looking nail. "The trend I'm starting to see is nails coordinating with eyes as opposed to eyes matching lips," said Lippmann.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by Shiseido. For the face, apply a light, sheer layer of foundation. Next, apply blush on cheekbones. For eyes, start by applying a light layer of concealer over any dark circles.

Brighten the eyelid with a shadow in a shade that's just a tad lighter then your natural skin tone. Then, with a fluffier brush, apply a coral brown cream into the crease as well as the outside corners in order to give the eye shape. Continue with a little coral on the lower lash line. Smooth a dry brush over the cream to blend in the colour. Finish by dusting a little translucent powder on top to hold the colour in place. On the pout, use a sheer lipstick in a delicate rosy colour.

GET THE LOOK- HAIR: All products by Wella. Apply a primer and brush through the hair. Blow-dry the hair completely straight so it looks healthy. Then create a clean, low side part that curves around the side.
