If you're looking for the perfect nail polish shade to complement your new autumn wardrobe, we suggest you check out the new Vintage Nail Polish Collection from NARS. Back by popular demand, the collection includes five favourites resurrected from the archives to NARS counters for a limited time only.

Whether you're going grunge or glam this season, the selection of rich deep hues and shimmering metallics has every sartorial base covered.

With cult classic cinema as their common theme (extra cool points), here are the shades and the movies that inspired them.

Mash: Army green infused with gold

Inspired by... The comedy about the staff of a Korean War field hospital using humor to keep their sanity in the face of war. The film inspired the TV series M*A*S*H.

King Kong: Copper brown infused with gold

Inspired by... A classic movie about the infamous giant ape who becomes smitten with beauty

Midnight Express: Deep navy

Inspired by... The 1970s film for an inmate's opportunity to escape from prison

Zulu: Forest green

Inspired by... A British war movie starring Stanley Baker and Michael Caine, directed by Cy Endfield in 1964

Full Metal Jacket: Gunmetal grey

Inspired by... An epic Vietnam War movie directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1987

The nail polishes will also be available for a limited period only at Selfridges from 1 October 2010.
