Baby Samuel Milliband had his first taste of the limelight on his first photo call yesterday– although he was blissfully unaware of all the attention he was getting.
Labour leader Ed Milliband and his partner Justine Thornton posed for pictures as their new baby, who was born on Sunday, dozed through the proceedings.
Samuel was born just on Sunday night at University College Hospital in London, weighing 8lb 3 oz. He was given his name in honour of his dad's paternal grandfather.

Ed Milliband, who announced the arrival of his new son on Twitter, is taking two weeks paternity leave to spend time with his new son.
The couple has one other son, Daniel, aged 17 months.
