High street and designer collaborations have become part and parcel of the fashion industry over the last few years - and we can't get enough of them!
Following hot on the heels of the H&M and Lanvin partnership (launching November 23), meet fashion's latest odd couple: Valentino and Gap. The collaboration will be unveiled in the UK on November 27, and we can hardly contain our excitement about the unlikely pairing.
Valentino's feminine ruffles and glamour are an interesting match for Gap's back-to-basics aesthetic, but from our sneak preview, there's nothing to worry about. The capsule collection, which comprises seven pieces, adds ruffles, bows and a touch of Italian flair to Gap's preppy US style. The result is a luxe, and in places architectural, reinterpretation of classics like cropped jackets, grey T-shirts and cargo pants.
