Kelly Osbourne rocked her signature vintage 'do to the 18th Annual Divine Design Gala benefiting Project Angel Food at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night. Kelly has played with the shade of her hair several times in the last few months, but we hope she sticks with this honey blonde. The rich tones really complement her colouring and play perfectly with her retro-inspired styling.

To create Kelly O's look at home, run a light hold product like Shu Uemura's Art of the Hair Depsea Smoothing Foundation through your locks before using large curlers to set your hair. Once the rollers are removed use a wide tooth comb to lightly brush out the top layer while leave the underside tightly coiled. Finally, use hairspray and a few well placed hairpins to keep your hair shaped away from you face.

Epitomising 40s sophistication with her ever-immaculate sleek bouncing waves, Dita is never seen with a hair out of place. And the star's signature look is not complete without the porcelain skin, red lipstick and dramatic flick of liner, evocative of the era.

When Carey went for the chop she confessed that she hated it and couldn't wait to grow it out. But as the pioneer of the pixie-crop revival, it would seem everyone else loves it... including us. It's not a look for the faint-hearted but it's the perfect complement to Carey's petite features.

While many of her Hollywood counterparts change their hairstyles more often than they change their boyfriends, bohemian babe Mischa has shown no signs of lopping off her centre parted hippy-chick lengths. She does occasionally add a hippy headband to shake things up though.

Rihanna's experimental styles are evocative of the punk era. In contrast to the loose-flowing low-maintenance locks of the hippy era, the 80s was all about experimental cutting edge styles. Bold, blunt cuts shaved underneath with contrasting blocks of bright electric shades to highlight the textures.

Pixie has embraced this season's grunge revival with a passion, sporting centre-parted mussed-up waves and of course, the obligatory dark grown-out roots with bleached ends. Kurt Cobain is dead. Long live Kurt Cobain.
