Pink has confirmed rumours that she is pregnant with her first child while appearing on a TV show in the US.
She said she had been 'nervous' about going public with her news because she receently suffered a miscarriage.
The singer, who had a huge hit with her song, So What, sparked rumours that she was expecting a baby with her husband, motorcross star Carey Hart, after she was recently photographed on holiday with a rounded tummy .
The 31-year-old star said she is enjoying the early stages of pregnancy and joked that she was looking healthy as her appetite has increased.
'I'm glowing because I'm eating for two these days. I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you,' she said during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, said she and her husband had been longing for a child: 'I worked for it. It was not an "Oops"!' she said.
Pink, who isn't keen to know the sex of her unborn child, fears that if it's a girl she will be an unruly daughter, just like her, but is eagerly looking forward to motherhood.
"The doctor kind of told me what she thinks. I'm terrified because she thinks it's a girl... My mum has always wished me a daughter just like me. I'm terrified one of us will go to jail."
"I never had anything in my life that I didn't work hard for and my relationship is that. We worked really hard and we had our little meltdowns, a couple of them, and we both needed to do that and come back together. It's just yummy," she added.
