Another candidate for Father of the Year has emerged today. A man from Kentucky, USA, put his five-week-old baby in a microwave and left him there for hours, it has been reported.
Larry Long, 33, had apparently smoked marijuana at work, then went home and drank whisky with the baby's mother.
At some point during the night the baby was put in the microwave oven - but fortunately the oven was never switched on.
However, the poor child was apparently left in the oven overnight.
The baby's mother, Brandy Hatton, heard the baby crying at around 5.30am on Monday morning and found him in the microwave.
The oven had not been turned on and the door had been left open.

Apparently Long contacted a mental help hotline and told them what he had done. The hotline advisors called the police who went to the couple's home and began an investigation.
The baby was taken to hospital but fortunately was in good condition and was unharmed. He has now been released to family members and the baby's mother has temporarily lost custody of the baby while the investigation continues.
Meanwhile Long is in jail and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
The father has claimed that the marijuana he smoked was laced with PCP or some other sort of hallucinatory agent.
You would hope that he was acting under the influence of something pretty powerful to do something as bizarre as this to his child...
