Tonight the long-awaited Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 world premiere will transform both Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square in London into a magical world of wizardry, to say a final emotional farewell to Hogwarts.
Fans have been camping outside for days to gain access to the stars of the global hit, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
Today, despite the rain, thousands more have joined them along with the world's media, to pay tribute to the best-loved film franchise of our time.
The leading trio will be in attendance along with the full cast, including Helen Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Tom Felton and Michael Gambon.
The author of the best-selling books behind the films, JK Rowling, will also be on the red carpet to wave goodbye to the actors who bought her magical creation to life and the fans who have so adored it.
