Journalists and news junkies aren't the only ones watching every development in the News Of The World phone hacking scandal. The Taiwanese animators at NMATV have been busy creating their take on the story.

The animators, who were famous for their interpretations of the news of the day, treat the biggest media story to come out of the UK in recent memory in the usual surreal, eye-brow raising way.

Some of the highlights include an eye-patched, pirate Rebekah Brooks, Rupert Murdoch, complete with shark fin, firing torpedoes at the good ship S.S. News Of The World and more.

Of course, the story isn't over yet. On Friday, police arrested former News Of The World editors and Brooks herself said that more revelations might be forthcoming in the scandal. You can follow our liveblog for the latest developments in the News Of The World story.

They didn't get to the most disgusting thing NOTW did: They hacked into a missing girl's voicemail and when the mailbox became full they deleted messages to make room for new ones they could eventually eavesdrop on. But unknown at the time, the girl had been killed. The parents and police assumed that the girl might still be alive because she was deleting her messages (she wasn't of course, it was the NOTW hackers).
