Some have received well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions, others are just plain greedy. From Arnie the Terminator who is now proud owner of three, to Nelson Mandela, we take a look at some of the celebrities who have been awarded the prestigious honorary degree.

You would have thought Stephen Fry would be content with having a degree in English Literature from Cambridge. However in January 2011, he was awarded his second honorary degree, this time from Sussex University, in recognition for his campaigns on behalf of people living with bipolar, mental health problems and HIV and Aids.
