Gwyneth Paltrow Says She Won't Star In Films Because Of Her Kids

Why Gwyneth Paltrow No Longer Stars In Films

PRESS ASSOCIATION-- Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she doesn't take starring roles in films since becoming a mother as it would take her away from her children for too long.

The Oscar-winning actress - who is mother to daughter Apple, seven, and son Moses, five, with husband Chris Martin - appears alongside Kate Winslet, Matt Damon and Jude Law in Steven Soderbergh's new ensemble cast disaster movie Contagion.

Paltrow, 38, revealed at a press conference at Venice Film Festival: "I still haven't done a starring role in a movie since I had my daughter because it means too many days away.

"I can't do it. So I do good supporting roles, basically."

But the busy working mother still finds time to stick to the exercise regime she has been set by personal trainer Tracy Anderson, to keep her figure in shape, The Sun reports.

Paltrow said: "I'm very committed to my Tracy Anderson method. I do it every day - well, I do it five days a week.

"So I drop the kids at school and I come home, I exercise for an hour and 15 minutes every single day.

"There's no fairy dust, there's no trick - it's like you do it and it works."
