MAKEUP: Cher Webb at Mac
HAIR: Bumble & Bumble
SNAPSHOT: The inspiration for both the hair and makeup was Nina Simone.
GET THE LOOK MAKEUP: Webb kept the skin light as the main focus was on the eyes. Coffee Eye Pencil and Smoulder Pencils were used with Metal X Eyeshadows in Fusion Gold and Rusty (available Spring/Summer 2012). Pro Black Cream Liner was applied to the lids, over a layer of Pure White Chromographic Pencil. The lashes were curled before Opulash in Optimum Black was used. Pearl Cream Colour Base and Silver Dusk Loose Powder were dusted onto the cheeks. A peachy coloured blusher completed the look.
GET THE LOOK HAIR: Big hair dos and cornrows influenced the Simone inspired hairstyles on display backstage. The hair was backbrushed and crimped before it was brushed out for a fluffy, volumised effect. Hair was then crimped again for an afro texture. The hair stylists used Bumble and Bumble Prep Spray, Thickening Spray and Styling Spray to achieve the look.
