Michael Jackson: Stars To Pay Tribute At Cardiff Concert

Some of the biggest names in pop music will pay tribute to Michael Jackson at a concert organised by his family.

The star's children are expected to be in the audience at Cardiff to see performances by stars including Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson.

Beyonce will also perform via videolink at the event which is being hosted by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx with Fearne Cotton.

Fans will also see Jackson's sister La Toya who has come out of retirement to perform on the night, along with Jackson brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie.

La Toya said: "I have put musical performance behind me for roughly two decades. But there will never be another magical moment such as this to celebrate Michael with his fans to perpetuate the importance of his legacy.

"I am honoured to share the stage with the incredible performers in this line-up, and am certain that nothing would make my brother smile bigger or brighter than this tribute concert."

Chart-toppers Black Eyed Peas were also to play but pulled out with less than a week to go, citing "unavoidable circumstances".

The initial announcement of the concert by the star's mother Katherine revealed divisions in the Jackson family.

His brothers Jermaine and Randy said the concert was "inappropriate" and "ill-timed" because it is during the criminal trial of Conrad Murray, the doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter in relation to the star's death.

Well, I thnk I have to side with Jermaine, and Randy on this one. For whats it's worth, I too think it's a bit soon, only because the trial is still in progress.
We, The Soul Stirrers, along with many others were inducted into the Hall Of Fame together, and their father, Joe came to except the award for the group, and he and I had a conversation about where we both had come from, (only 36 miles apart), and how far apart we are now. We had a good laugh about that. But all , and all, I wish them all the success in the world, which I'm sure they don't need that from me, but still I do wish that for them.
'm from a big family, so I knw how it is,,,Some Want To Go One Way, and Ohers Want to go A Differant Way. Well, that's ormal in a big family. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU !!!!

I have never been a fan of Michael Jackson, it is not my type of music, and I most certainly did not approve of his life style, which in part may well have contributed to his untimely death.

The IMMORTAL concert is being put on by the Michael Jackson Estate in Canada to honor
Michael Jackson. Now this is the ticket....

All LaToya has been saying the last couple of years is about the conspiracy about her brother's death. Michael's trial is going on and where's La Toya.. I remember when she went to Michael's home after his death and said someone took Michael's jewelry and money, if this was the case, why didn't she file a report with the police department. Why didn't she tell the LE that things were taken from his home. The only people that were removing items were the Jackson's and these rightfully belonged to his children and Estate.
At least Jermaine is in town making the media stops trying to sell his book.
Will it every end.... as Micheal said.... This is It.... I think he was tired and needed closure. IMO

What a JOKE.... LaToya.. your husband is directing this concert and your preforming. Michael will be rolling over in his grave to think what the family is doing using his name to make money. Things never change when it come to the Jackson's... IMO Your better off now then when Michael was alive and your still now happy. IMO
I understand that Prince, Paris and Blanket will receive $100,000. and a couple of charities will receive an amount and the rest go to........... The Jackson Family Compound... IMO
Michael wouldn't be happy right about now.
The family knew how Michael felt when the brothers and Joe tried to force him into doing the Jackson 5 Tour in March of 2009. Michael refused because he didn't want any part of paid for view video and he wouldn't do the concert. Now look at what's happening... your even trying to get this on face-book for a price. Remember the lawsuit by All Good Entertainment that the brothers and Joe received in June of 2009.. The month Michael died... no wonder he was so stressed out... just trying to complete 10 shows was hard enough but when everyone wanted more... it was just too much for him to handle....IMO
Everyone is asking why the entertainers are backing out.... Answer: Respect for Michael
