Strictly Come Dancing: Bremner Fails To Make Good Impression, Gets The Boot From Dance Show

STRICTLY: Bremner Fails To Make Good Impression, Gets The Boot

Strictly Come Dancing's voters and judges had the last laugh on Sunday evening as Rory Bremner failed to make a good impression and was booted off the BBC1 show.

The comedian and his partner Erin Boag found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard against Nancy Dell'Olio and Anton Du Beke - who were there for the second week in a row - in Saturday night's show.

But after their Cha Cha Cha to the song Dance to the Music, Bremner found himself the butt of the joke, described by Bruno Tonioli as a "cocky rooster chasing a hen around the yard", while Len Goodman said: "You're like the Government: there's a lot going on and not all of it is good."

The 50-year-old managed to stay buoyant despite his exit from the BBC1 show, saying: "Well, a close second was shimmying next to John Prescott in the Quickstep, I loved that - it was just the best dance of my life."

To his dance partner, he said: "Thank you for choreographing it, and thank you for dancing with me."

Next week, the remaining 11 couples will be expected to bewitch the judges and public with a Halloween-themed evening.
